I've been wandering through January's photos for the past few hours, editing and attempting to choose my "Photo - Heart Connection." I bounced back, forth, and sideways among several of them, many of my choices focusing on catching glimpes of rare January light.
I kept coming back to this one, though, for many reasons.
I'm drawn to the timelessness of it...
...a father and son connection, much treasured
...two boys, one 28 and one 4, throwing sticks in the water
...a reminder that life is precious, and that while we may not have much in the eyes of the world, we're not lacking for wealth
...that many of our cherished moments having nothing to do with modern technology or the latest gadgets
...that you can find warmth on a cold January day
Thank you, Kat, for helping me to slow down and remember just how much life has given to me.

Finding warmth on a cold January day! That's a nice phrase. I just love your photo-heart connection choice of photos. The togetherness of this father and son connection. I like the movement in the photo and the position of the sweet little 4-year old. Precious indeed!

There is a timelessness to this image. It connects to me, even though I don't know the people. You found so many things in this one image. I am captured by your words, "many of our cherished moments having nothing to do with modern technology or the latest gadgets." So very true. Thank you for sharing in the Photo-Heart Connection this month!

There is such a timeless feel to this photo. It reminds me of how fleeting life is...a moment here than gone. Beautiful.

I can't think of a better Photo-Heart Connection than this. It touches my heart, and I don't even know them. It's simple but embodies so much.
