I love paper.
I love paint.
I love hours of play time in the studio.
Add an excellent teacher, who hands you the tools and lets you go your own way, and well, it's a bit of heaven.
Mistly works quickly and intuitively, just fascinating to watch.
Miscellaneous, seemingly unrelated pieces not only come together, but seem to become part of the page.
For one of our first execises, we created a background with our nondominant hand. Talk about having to let go of control! But, some pretty cool things happened and I'm hoping to make this one a habit.
Absolutely my favorite shot of the day. Misty was demonstrating various ways to pull a page together. We convinced her to include a saying from her grandmother...don't you love it? My mom often said something similar to me, and I've probably said to my own kids at one point. (Well, probably more than one!)
All of my pages are still very much in progress, and most need some "sitting time" before I can figure out where they're going.
So many more, so many possibilities. I love it!
