A few nights ago, my journal called my name, with orders to get into the art studio and just create. I didn't have any clue about what I wanted to do, and to put it bluntly, didn't have a whole lot in me to create anything really "cool."
So, I just grabbed various papers and images...anything that appealed at the moment, and began gluing things down...a torn up journal page, various stickers, some cancelled stamps, and so on.
Not anything to "write home about" but fun, and it stillmakes me smile.
Hectic is the word for the week...the sixth grade science fair, report cards, and conferences. Throw in some worry about various things and my plate is more than full. So, it's one step at a time, and get into the art room and just play.
All in all, life is full and life is good.
My journal is so calling me today too ! I just finished clearing the sewing machine off the work table to make room for the paint, paper and glue ! I NEED to paint today...
Here's to taking the time to nurture our selves in the midst of the busy-ness.
