Well, not really...feeling crabby, that is. I'm a bit irked with the rain, which made for one very long commute this morning - a half hour longer than normal. And, it's our second indoor recess in a row, which is never a good thing. Yet, it's still been a decent day. And, honestly, I can't complain. The day my dad was told he might well have cancer, he spent with family, including a trip out for dinner with two of his children. At the end, he happily smiled, and pronounced it a wonderful day. My sister just laughed. What else can you do?
It's been a week of rain, meetings, and finishing up interims.
It's been a week of figuring out who gets dad where for what! (I sound like that old comedy routine, "Who's On First?)
Despite the meetings, despite the interims, despite 2 indoor recesses in a row, life has been good.
I love being with my students; they never fail to suprise and delight.
I got my advance copy of Patti Digh's new book...more on that later.
I've been playing in my journal.
And, you know what? Those crabs tasted darn good.
